Over 200,000 people claim to have been physically abused for being on benefits: Poll shows that over 800,000 people have been verbally abused for receiving assistance from the government, and over 200,000 have been beaten up. Reports also show that people on benefits have experienced housing and employment discrimination, have been shunned by their own families and have witnessed their children being bullied at school.

Barack Obama outlines his plan for tackling IS: The President addresses the nation and explains that air-strikes and supporting the terrorists’ enemies will form the backbone of the “counterterrorism” strategy.

Former Democratic Unionist Party leader dies: Dr Ian Paisley, who famously led a crusade to keep homosexuality illegal in 1970’s Northern Ireland, has died. His son shares his anti-gay views.
